Model QL2500 Features

MEASURES VERY SMALL TARGETS:

2-Color ratio measurement allows accurate readings even when the target does not fill the full measuring field. Long thin filaments as small as 0.002" diameter, or small round targets as small as 0.012" diameter can be measured at temperatures of 770°C (1100°F) and above.

UNAFFECTED BY OBSTRUCTED VIEWS:

2-Color ratio measurement makes readings that are unaffected by dirty lenses or dirty windows; smoke, steam or dust obscuring up to 95% of the optical path, at temperatures of 770°C (1100°F) and above.

REPLACES DISAPPEARING-FILAMENT PYROMETERS:

Eliminates operator errors associated with disappearing-filament pyrometers; and provides continuous readings with remote output to computers, controller or recorders.

HIGHLY STABLE CALIBRATION:

Wide spacing of the spectral response bands plus fully digital electronics provides exceptional long-term calibration stability and high absolute accuracy.

SIMULTANEOUS 2-COLOR MEASUREMENTS WITH ULTRA-FAST RESPONSE:

Maintains accuracy for moving or unstable targets.

HIGH-SPEED MEASUREMENTS:

Approximately 2 readings per second, suitable for closed-loop temperature control systems in difficult applications.

FOCUSING CAMERA-TYPE VIEWING OPTICS:

Provides easy target location and pin-point aiming accuracy.

MOUNTING:

Sensor Module may be fixed- or tripod- mounted for best viewing of the target.
Power/Control Module may be mounted at a convenient remote location.

RUGGED CONSTRUCTION:

Sensor Module is mounted in a cast-aluminum shock-isolated housing.
Electronics are designed to be "Intrinsically Safe" per Factory Mutual standards.
